This session focuses on honing your skills with Matt on the pads, reinforcing lesson one’s techniques while introducing new elements. The remainder of the lesson is dedicated to perfecting the flow and rhythm of your combinations.

 

Lesson 3: Enhancing Defense and Offense

 

- Energizing Warm-Up

- Comprehensive Review of Lessons 1 and 2

- Integrating Punches with Slips and Rolls

- Defending Against Head Punches

- Evasive Techniques: Pulling Back from Punches

- Catching and Countering Body Shot Punches

- Catching the Rear Kick with Counter punch/knee

 

Incorporate these movements into your existing pad work, transitioning into three-minute rounds with conditioning drills. Finish with a continuous knees drill for endurance and technique.

 

Lesson 4: Mastery of Advanced Kicks

 

- Kick Drills: Round-House Kick, Side Kick, Back Kick, Question Mark Kick, and Turning Heel Kick (Spinning Kick)

- Integrating Advanced Kicks into Pad Work

- Three-Minute Rounds with Conditioning Drills

- Freestyle Bag Work to Conclude

 

Every lesson concludes with focused abdominal work and thorough stretching to ensure better recovery.
